Mellissah Smith is the Chairperson of The World Incubator, a not-for-profit business incubator in rural Queensland. Currently the incubator is situation in Wherry House in Charters Towers, North Queensland and houses 10 startups. When Russell Broad was first drawn to developing an APP to save lives, he was spurred by the meaningless death of Jill Meagher in Melbourne. He knew that there must have been someway that her death could have been avoided.
I didn't quite realise the enormous impact that the North Queensland Entrepreneurs Conference is having on Queensland. It is by far one of the best one-day conferences to hit Queensland this year, and is action packed with real stories from entrepreneurs who have "made it".
