Why Coles, Woolworths and IGA cannot ignore Charters Towers Jams, Relishes and Sauces

Last week I received an enormous parcel from the beautiful and kind Jodie Pollock, one of Charters Towers culinary experts and the maker of Vicky D's Kitchen relishes, jams and sauces.

Like any good entrepreneur taking new products to market, she decided that she wanted to do a focus group so that she took in the future to Coles, Woolworths and IGA, the best possible products on the market.

Every single product came up trumps. I cannot describe how delicious products that are not full of preservatives and crap are. You forget how yummy Mum's homemade jams where or that tomato relish that Grandma made every other week.

Vicky D's Kitchen has something for everyone. Homemade Hot Spicy Ketchup which was my clear favourite. Unbeatable. BBQ Ketchup, Mandarin Marmalade - haven't had that one in years! So yummy. Lemon butter, sweet chilli relish, and a whole other range of products.

In the next few months, make sure you tell your local supermarket that they need to stock local produce and products, and start off with Vicky D's Kitchen. The more products she sells, the more people she can employ and the more jobs we have in Charters Towers.

Let the tasting begin.
