Today I had a meeting with a woman that is curious. She wants to know what this "World Incubator" is about. There are some questions that we are very happy to answer, but others, should remain between the parties that are involved.

Eliza Rogers goes from the newsroom to entrepreneurial start-up central
“Don’t put a ceiling on yourself.” That’s a quote from Oprah Winfrey, and although I’m not amongst Oprah’s biggest fans, that phrase really resonates with me. I’ve come to learn what it means to set a big goal, and make it happen. Someone once told me I was tenacious, and although I think that person wasn’t very happy my tenacity was being directed at them, I took it as a compliment, because I was achieving something difficult by pushing for it.

Charters Towers is starting to ramp up as an entrepreneurial town to watch
Who would have thought that more than a year later of coming up with idea of setting up The World Incubator in Charters Towers that we would not only have hired our Community Manager, Eliza Rogers, but also have some very interesting and diverse startups to work with.
While we haven't hit our numbers of 10 startups in the first round, we would prefer to get it right and make the one's that have the most "legs" as successful as possible.
