North Queensland's Entrepreneurs Conference in Townsville has a lineup of speakers that will inspire all

09 September 2016 Author :
The inaugural NQE CON 2016 is fast approaching and I have to say it is incredibly exciting on a lot of fronts.

The speaker lineup is incredible and the fact that the profits from this event is going to rural Australian startups and farmers is incredibly important. The World Incubator is hosting this event, and is a not-for-profit organisation. I have personally asked favours from all of the speakers to attend the conference and they are doing it because they too are charitable and know the importance of sharing their stories to inspire others.

This conference is for business leaders, startups, entrepreneurs, family business, students and anyone who wants to be inspired by people who started with an idea and turned it into some that is real. For $195 you will not find better value in a full day conference lineup than this. Book tickets on www.nqecon.com.au

The big name lineup includes:

Jack Cowin

Jack Cowin, the founder of Hungry Jacks and one of Australia's most successful entrepreneurs. Listed as Australia's 24th richest person, with an estimated $1.8 billion dollars according to BRW 200 Rich List, Jack borrowed $10,000 from 30 fellow Canadians and bought the first KFC to Australia. His company, Competitive Foods, owns Hungry Jacks and a few KFC outlets. He is a board member of Fairfax, and owns a stake in Bridge Climb.

Jeremy Jauncey

With 12 million follower on Instagram and Snapchat, Jeremy will speak live from London on his journey from VC to social media guru. Having built a business based on Instagram followers using a team of people which include data scientists, and curating other people's images as well as taking their own, Beautiful Destinations and their other associated brands story shows fellow entrepreneurs that you really can start a business from anywhere, and it can be as simple as being based on an Instagram and Snapchat account. He is a must see for any tourism operator, entrepreneur, or school leaver.

Megan Burton

This incredible woman has started two tech companies, sold one and bought an organic farm outside Atlanta, Georgia - just in case she isn't busy enough. Megan is young, dynamic, flies helicopters and has beat many odds to get to where she is today. Her business CoinX is known throughout the world, and is one that every entrepreneur should be watching. With no investment, this woman has done it all herself, and her sheer hard work, long hours and determination has made her one of America's best tech success stories. Her farm brings her back to her roots, and technology keeps her innovating and alive. Megan Burton is a woman entrepreneur that plays with the big boys and continually wins. Her Southern charm will win you over, and her attitude to success is as humble as you get.

Jo Burston

What an inspiration! This woman is pioneering a movement to attract 1,000,000 new women entrepreneurs to start businesses by 2020. She has already shown what an amazing business woman she is starting a company that has revenues of more than $20 million annually. Her belief system, and tenacity to be a game-changers is contagious. Inspiring Rare Birds is her movement and it's one that I encourage every woman who is thinking about being an entrepreneur to come and hear about.

George Freney

Humble, curious and smart, George Freney has built tech businesses before, but after co-founding Booodl, with backers which include James Packer, Erika Baxter and the holding company for Westfields in Australia and New Zealand, he has a great story to tell. He has been on a journey that only some truly curious would take, and has changed his technology to provide a solution for retailers who want to bring customers back into the stores and into malls, rather than finding it easier to buy online and sit on the couch. He understands technology and his story includes developing technology, changing it when it needs to adapt, and attracting high profile investors. If you are a retailer or technology startup, or perhaps you are just curious... come and see him speak.

More speakers will be profiled tomorrow. Here local stories and international successes all on one day in Townsville on 8 November 2016 at NQE CON 2016 proudly hosted by The World Incubator.
