Kylie Elms has stayed away from publicity and with 8 retail stores at 30, we find out why
I've known Kylie Marie Elms for many years, and I have never heard her blow her own trumpet.
We have sat down for many hours discussing her next best idea, or what she is working on - and I have always been very amazed by the energy that she exudes when she discusses what she is working on. From spray tan remover products that she distributed as she hated getting a spray tan and then days later, it looked disgusting - through to teeth whitening - inventing new ways to do things is just who she is.
There is no obstacle she cannot overcome, and there is no time like now.
For years, I have been saying to her, that she should tell her story as it would inspire others. I keep getting knock backs and finally, out of desperation I asked her again, and she said yes. For a not-for-profit, she will put herself out of her comfort zone. She has refused because she isn't a self promoter. She never talks business socially and wants to be the quiet achiever, building her business to a state that she is happy with. Her benchmark is high, and part of her feels that she hasn't made it. I can assure you she has. Her empire-build has happened fast and furious, and there are deals in the pipeline that will take her to another league all together.
What's most interesting about Kylie Marie is her steely determination and the fact that she is not afraid to get her hands dirty. I'm not sure exactly how she came up with Browco, but I do know that in a few short years, there are 8 of them, and she is working her way up to the 50 mark. Like you, I want to hear about it as part of the audience at North Queensland Entrepreneurs Conference, first hand and experience it just how the audience experiences her story. It will be unique - that is for sure.
How does a 30 year old pack so much into her life? She is fit, happy, and super-duper ambitious. There are other business ideas she is keen to explore and finally now that she is working "on" the business and not "in" the business, she is ready to tackle a few more business ideas that she has had.
