I have almost bedded down my first fortnight as Community Manager of The World Incubator, and I’m tired. But good tired. Satisfied tired.

Once you have an idea, how do you get it out there? At The World Incubator we’re taking ideas from The World (otherwise known as Charters Towers) to the world, and that’s no mean feat.

Today I had a meeting with a woman that is curious. She wants to know what this "World Incubator" is about. There are some questions that we are very happy to answer, but others, should remain between the parties that are involved.

“Don’t put a ceiling on yourself.” That’s a quote from Oprah Winfrey, and although I’m not amongst Oprah’s biggest fans, that phrase really resonates with me. I’ve come to learn what it means to set a big goal, and make it happen. Someone once told me I was tenacious, and although I think that person wasn’t very happy my tenacity was being directed at them, I took it as a compliment, because I was achieving something difficult by pushing for it.
